ΣΙΦΝΟΣ 9η ΣΤΟΝ ΚΟΣΜΟ ΑΠΟ ΤΟ NATIONAL GEOGRAFIC

      Στην κορυφή των παγκόσμιων προτιμήσεων του περιοδικού National Geographic βρέθηκε η Σίφνος η οποία κατέλαβε την 9η θέση ανάμεσα στις Μπαχάμες, τις Σεϋχέλλες, τη Γαλλική Πολυνησία, τις Ολλανδικές Αντίλλες και άλλα εξωτικά νησιά.
Συγκεκριμένα η πολυτελής έκδοση «Journeys of a lifetime - 500 of the Word's Greatest Trips», ξεχωρίζει τη Σίφνο και την κατατάσσει στην 9η θέση του top 10 στην κατηγορία «Νησιά κάτω από τον ήλιο». Το περιοδικό αναφέρει ότι τα ελληνικά νησιά θυμίζουν «κουκίδες στον ωκεανό που δύσκολα διακρίνονται στο χάρτη. Αν όμως βρεθείτε εκεί, θα νιώσετε ότι δεν υπάρχει άλλο τέτοιο μέρος στη γη».                                                                                                                                                                           

Sifnos - Islands Under the Sun

National Geographic’s special edition "Journeys of a lifetime – 500 of the World’s Greatest Trips" distinguishes Sifnos by giving it the 9th spot in the Top Ten list of "Islands Under the Sun"!
Here is an extract from the special edition:

..."On the picturesque island, there is one church for each day of the year. Among them is the monastery of Chrisopigi, which is situated on a rocky precipice right outside the village of Faros. It is recommended that you visit the island when there is a fair going on in the honor of some saint. After the mass, there is a feast with local dishes and wine, music and dance."
